Pinewood Derby 2025

Sunday, February 9th at Mitchell Elementary School 

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for our scouts! Mark your calendars for the 2025 Derby dates, below, and please see the 2025 info packet for all of the important race details and rules!  

1. Car-Building Clinic at Needham Furniture Makers Workshop:  Sunday, January 5th, 10:30am-4:00pm. Please sign up for a 45 minute timeslot here: Derby Clinic SignUp Genius  

2. Car Weigh-In: Thursday, February 5th, 5:30-8:00pm. SignUp coming soon for timeslots; weigh-in is mandatory for all cars and usually takes 10-15 minutes. 

3. Race Day! Sunday, February 9th, 10:00am-2:30pm. Cars are raced by den, beginning with the Lions at 10:00. Our tentative scehdule is as follows, but please note that this is subject to change and times are estimates! 

   • Lions: 10:00-10:30 

   • Tigers : 10:30-11:00

   • Wolves: 11:00-12:00 (we will run two races for the Wolf den to accommodate the large number of kids!) 

   • Bears: 12:00-12:30

   • Webelos: 12:30-1:00

   • AOL:  1:00-1:30

   • Siblings: 1:30-2:00

   • Finals: 2:00-2:30
